Specialist Composite Solutions is the product of growth and technological advancement out of a previous composite firm. SC Solutions, as we abbreviate it, started trading in July 2008, even though our collection of minds has been established for years before that.

The concept of the company comes from the mind of motorsport veteran Dave Benbow. Dave’s work as a race engineer is top-flight: victories at the Indy 500, Le Mans and the Daytona 24 hour race, along with success in many series, including the DTM.

Dave has seen the need for a solution like SCS in motorsport for years. Composite parts look deceptively similar, regardless of quality: black and shiny. When it comes to the repair of structural components, however, there is little reassurance in the industry that the component has been properly repaired.

SC Solutions is there to fill this niche. We combat the myth of composite repair being "black art" with simple scientific processes. We use established techniques as well as new technologies (such as Non-Destructive Testing or NDT) to know that we are providing the best possible repair quality.

Our technicians are the best in the business, too; each of our composite repair techs has completed at least Phase Two of Abaris' Advanced Composite Training courses. Abaris has been the de facto standard for training in (among others) the aerospace repair industry for over 25 years.
